Agriculture and food production is the backbone of every nation, not just financially, but also in terms of a countries security. Without the production of food countries find themselves relying too much on other nations for provisions. This leads to a situation where food is being transported globally which in itself has negative consequences in regards to carbon emissions and the environment. We, as a global community, should aim to have stronger local production of products for this and many other reasons. As such IDCAS supports Agriculture through its partnership with several key organisations. For this reason the European Agricultural Association recently became a core partner of IDCAS. www.europeanagriculture.org
